Bike Gear Fit & Compatibility Guide

Use these checks to compare sizes and mounting requirements before you order. Open the product page for the exact options and supplier specifications.

Which helmet size should I choose?

Measure around the widest part of your head, just above your eyebrows. Compare the measurement with the range for the exact size option you want. Choose a helmet that fits now; do not buy a child's helmet for them to grow into.

Wear it level and low on your forehead, with the straps adjusted snugly according to the manufacturer's instructions. A correct circumference range is a starting point; the helmet also needs to sit securely on your head.

Check the safety standard for the exact model and intended use. Supplier-reported standards appear in the “Helmet fit & safety” box on our helmet pages. Shell materials and the words “full face” do not establish certification. If the listing does not name the standard you need, or its size chart and option labels disagree, contact us before ordering.

Will a tire or tube fit my bike?

Start with the complete size printed on your existing tire, including its ETRTO marking if shown, such as 37-622. Check the tire and wheel manufacturer's compatibility information. The tire's inner diameter must match the rim's bead-seat diameter; its width must also suit the rim and leave sufficient frame and fork clearance. An inch-size label alone is not enough to confirm fit.

For tubes, compare the wheel size, supported tire-width range, valve type and valve length with the product listing. If you are changing tire width or using a tubeless setup, check the wheel and tire manufacturer's requirements rather than assuming the existing setup applies.

Will a bag or basket fit my rack?

Compare the product's mounting instructions, attachment system, dimensions and load limit with your bike and rack. Check clearance around the saddle, rear wheel, handlebars, cables and any battery. For system-specific products such as MIK options, verify that the listed adapter and rack requirements match your setup.

Some products include mounting hardware and others require separate parts. Read the listing's included-items section; contact us if it does not make that clear.

What should I check for pumps and small accessories?

For a pump, compare its supported valve types with your wheel's valve and follow the tire and rim manufacturer's pressure limits. For a phone mount, compare the listed device dimensions with your phone in its case. For a handlebar accessory, match the stated mounting diameter with the mounting position on your bike.
